Story
After a family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return to their home in Winter River. Lydia, still haunted by Beetlejuice, finds her life turned upside down when her teenage daughter Astrid accidentally opens a portal to the afterlife. Jenna Ortega, Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Catherine O’Hara, Justin Theroux and Monica Bellucci share why filming Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice Beetlejuice was an experience they’ll never forget. Tim Burton has said that the film will only happen if Michael Keaton returns to reprise his role.

Lydia informs Astrid that Rory wants to get married at midnight on Halloween night. That would make it November 1st, since midnight is the start of a new day, so it wouldn’t be Halloween anymore. Then, fuck… SPOILER: There’s a dedication in the end credits to Bob Skinner, who died in the movie.
I really didn’t like this movie

There wasn’t enough Beetlejuice in it, the human side of the drama was bland. I didn’t feel connected to the new characters.
It just didn’t capture that essence
The charm of the first movie was Beetlejuice tormenting the Dietz family. This movie really didn’t have enough of that. Overall, I think I’m being very generous with a 6 out of 10, I could have gone lower. I don’t have any major complaints about the acting, but it just didn’t have the magic of the first film.
If you haven’t seen it yet, you can definitely wait until it comes out on streaming
