This is what landed him the role
Story
A maniac named Art the Clown terrorizes two friends on Halloween and everyone who gets in his way. David Howard Thornton was the sixth person to audition for Art The Clown after Mike Giannelli retired from the role and acting altogether. During the audition, he began by imitating the taste of his decapitated victim’s blood, but later added salt to improve its flavor. In the scenes where Tara is gagged with tape, the tape clearly does not make contact with her lower mouth in some earlier scenes, while it is tightly wrapped around her lips in other scenes. Coroner: Honey, I’ve been doing this for twenty-two years, right? After watching an eight-month-old baby microwaved to death… everything else is just old hat. There is a heavily edited version on YouTube that removes the graphic violence and blood, as well as the nudity. I’ll give it a try Written and performed by Thank you.
Honestly, not really, but it’s better than his last solo outing
Art the Clown started out in 2011 with a short film of the same name, and truth be told, I didn’t like it. Creator Damien Leone would keep Art around for his feature film All Hallows’ Eve (2013), but as a bit part. Now here we are and Art has his own movie, but is it any good? It follows the standard slasher formula and sees some girls on Halloween night being attacked by a psychotic clown. Then again, it’s generic stuff, it covers all the usual tropes, and while it’s not predictable, it certainly doesn’t have any surprises.
It’s also pretty ugly and oddly paced
What Terrifier does have, however, is pure brutality. It’s bloody, nasty, no holds barred, relentless, I was quite shocked actually. Considering the budget, they make it all look pretty good, so kudos to the special effects department. I love clowns as antagonists, but Art doesn’t seem to tick the boxes enough for me. He’s less of a clown and more of a mime, and doesn’t seem like an interesting enough character to carry his own movie.

Acceptable stuff, but by this time next week I’ll have forgotten about it. The Good: Impressively macabre visuals Jenna Kanell Unpredictable The Bad: Doesn’t exactly flow Poor cinematography Art the Clown, Pennywise, and Killer Klowns are just a few of the comical creatures that give us the creeps.
